History To Go –Event sightseeing!

Scavenger hunt! Take part in an historical excursion-game through the central city district of Berlin. Discover Berlin in small groups as a team fun and find major sights and hidden places in an informative City Rallye.

We have 2 interesting tours to offer for school classes and for grown ups:

Tour 1 - Berlin Central East/West: Potsdamer Platz to the Brandenburg Gate with extension to Gendarmenmarkt possible

Tour 2 - Berlin Classic: Hackescher Markt to Gendarmenmarkt

Sights to discover: Potsdamer Platz- oldest traffic light of Germany, Berlin wall, Tiergarten (city park)- hunting ground of the Prussian Kings with Gay Memorial, Global Stone Ensemble, Hitler Bunker, Imperial Chancellery, Holocaust Memorial, American Embassy (nick name: "ugly but safe") Brandenburg Gate, Pariser Platz, Sinti- und Roma Memorial, The Reichstag (German Parliament Building), the Victory Column, Acadamy of Art, Max Liebermann House, Stumbling Stone and more…

Duration: 2 hours including introduction and evaluation

Tour 2 - Berlin Classic: Hackescher Markt to Gendarmenmarkt

Sights to discover: Old National Gallery, New & Old Museum, Berlin Dome, Street Unter den Linden, Pleasure Garden, German Museum, Neue Wache (New Guardhouse) Humboldt University, Bebelplatz - place of Nazi-book burning, Catholic St. Hedwig’s cathedral, Hausvogteiplatz – former business area of Jewish fashion industry, Gendarmenmark - the most beautiful square in Berlin and more…

History to go – Scavenger hunt for school groups! A day of history - Get your first or deepen your picture of known or hidden city-center highlights. The tour includes a surprise bags with Berlin souvenirs for each team.

Small Teams (4 -6 people) will be created at the beginning and receive an introduction.

Each team gets missions to accomplish and will be equipped with a special detailed panorama-map of Berlin and a partly sealed questionnaire with directions to known and quite unknown destinations.

Teams will look for certain sights and will be provides with slightly different routes. Once they reach the sight they will discover certain details and will be able to give proper answers (in a protocol based on the questionnaire).

At some points, you are requested to open one of the numbered envelops. In the envelope you find interposed questions which are more or less related to the discovered spot. You always have 3 sealed possible answers. Only one answer is correct and the right one will most likely surprise you! Your team has to discuss for the right answer and has to decide which seal to break! The less seals that are broken, the better!

The group whom answered most of the questions right and broke fewer seals than the others will be appointed as the winner at the end of the competition. It’s not a time based race! Of course, every team gets a Berlin goodie bag at the end of the sightseeing competition!
